Arcade style games have been popular from the time they first came into existence years ago. Early titles were mainly pixel based 2D games that lacked detail and graphical finesse. Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe is the latest offering by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment that features the Outworld combatants against the heroes of DC Comics. The game comes with both single player matches as well as cooperative and combative tournaments against each other. The game has a set storyline and picks up after Raiden, the Earthrealm’s Guardian and God of Thunder tries to repel an attack by dark forces. Simultaneously in the DC universe, Superman is busy fighting off the forces of Darkseid. During one such attack, both the universes merge, resulting in the formation of a dark and powerful entity, Dark Kahn. Dark Kahn is composed of Darkseid and Shao Kahn It is up to you as the player to choose your fighters appropriately and fight off the forces of both worlds and restore order to the universe or risk losing both the realms. Due to the merging of the universe, characters from both the worlds undergo a flux in power; some become weaker while others become stronger. The game has a T rating by ESRB for violence and strong language.
